And the Sodomite Troll Is...?

The TimesOnline reports today that the British High Court has ruled that "thousands of bloggers who operate behind the cloak of anonymity have no right to keep their identities secret."

We can't wait for such a ruling or legislation in this country. We wonder if the sodomite trolls of the South Carolina blogosphere would have quite so much to say about all the rest of us if they were forced to disclose their real names. It is hard for some not to look at what they write, just as it is hard for some not to look at train wrecks or collisions by the side of the road. One in particular is a living witness to how spiritually and mentally damaging his disordered lifestyle can be. But given that these bottom feeders purport to have such "pride" in their chosen lifestyle, why are they too ashamed to associate their real names with their daily spew of hate?

Maybe they are ashamed that their dignity has been hijacked by people and causes that will in the end just toss them aside like a rag doll.

There is recovery, when they are ready.

It seems hard to fathom that a blog with "Faith, Freedom, Defense of the West, Renewal of the Culture" as its motto would advocate that bloggers be forced by law to reveal their identities. Seems like something better suited to the Iron Curtain.

And the term "sodomite trolls" isn't really furthering the discussion, is it?

Put the issues out there and debate them on their merits. I'd imagine all of us are going to disagree on something, perhaps many things, but the ad hominem attacks aren't doing much to facilitate any real exchange of ideas.

Thank you, Cotton Boll, for the comments that you recently submitted to me. I respect your views and admire your blog. I am left wondering, however, if you have noticed the DAILY attacks to which I have been subjected by one particular blogger for the past two years. I have seen no evidence of ANYONE responding to any of that.

Have you, even from your anonymity, dared to challenge any of the hateful belittling that person engages in daily? Are you aware that he has blogged about me being pumped full of lead in church? In two years I have responded to his hundreds of slanderous posts on TWO occasions, and I make no apology for either one. I stand behind what I write and am not ashamed to be identified with what I post.

BTW, I find it interesting that you require a full name and E-mail address of those submitting comments on your blog. Happy to oblige.
