Poll: Republicans On Verge Of Shocking NYC Upset

By Steven Shepard and Jessica Taylor

Bob Turner (left) and David Weprin (right) are battling for Anthony Weiner's seat.

Republican Bob Turner holds a six-point lead in next week's special election to replace disgraced former Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., according to a new Siena College poll released early Friday that shows voters in the overwhelmingly Democratic district are poised to deliver a stinging rebuke to President Obama and his party.

Report: Weiner Tells Friends He Will Step Down

June 11: Rep. Anthony Weiner is interviewed as he walks down the street near his home in the Queens borough of New York.

Embattled Rep. Anthony Weiner reportedly has told friends that he is stepping down.

The New York congressman, who has faced three weeks of scandal over pictures he texted to women he communicated with on Twitter and Facebook, had led to Democrats devising an exit scenario for him.

Pat Buchanan: 'Why Weiner's Going Under the Bus'

By Patrick J. Buchanan

Is there any redeeming social value to the tawdry tale of Anthony Weiner?

Only this: The nationwide revulsion at the conduct of the congressman has compelled the leadership and members of the House Democratic caucus to demand he resign immediately and cease not only distracting them from their work but stinking up their party.

Traditional morality has just been affirmed by Nancy Pelosi and the House Democrats.

For consider what it was Weiner did.

He sent lewd and pornographic photos of himself to half a dozen women, including a college student, a stripper and a 17-year-old who had befriended him on Facebook. He initiated “sex-ting” with women who had simply expressed admiration for his politics and leadership.

On seeing a few of the photos in the tabloid press and reading of the others and Weiner’s language, the adjectives that come to mind are gross, infantile, weird, sick, suicidal.

Pressure Builds on Weiner to Resign

Embattled New York Rep. Anthony Weiner's prospects for political survival dimmed precipitously on Wednesday with the appearance on the Internet of an X-rated photo said to be of the congressman — and the first calls from fellow Democrats for him to step down.

Democrat Family Values: Weiner Supported Protecting Kids from Predators Like Him

Representative Anthony Weiner (D-NY)
Internet sexual predator, liar and Democrat Congressman Anthony Weiner conducted "a study that found that over 85% of registered sex offenders in New York City live less than five blocks from schools, and 670 sex offenders live within just two blocks" according to a post on the Congressman's website.

With first-hand knowledge, the recently exposed Twitter flasher acknowledged that "the Internet is the predator's venue of choice today."

I once had the opportunity to debate Congressman Weiner at a Queens public school on the details and merits of The No Child Left Behind Act. Now, I simply wonder if there are any schools in close proximity to this degenerate.

Only days ago he called a respectful reporter a "jackass," falsely claimed his Twitter account had been hacked, blamed Andrew Breitbart and others for a set-up, and it appears there is more to this story than has yet been revealed.

The Democrat Party has embraced abortion, sodomy and death panels; unless they insist that Anthony Weiner resign, they will also become the party of Internet predators trolling for your children.

The following is from Weiner's website:

Protecting Children On the Internet

In early 2007 my office did a study that found that over 85% of registered sex offenders in New York City live less than five blocks from schools, and 670 sex offenders live within just two blocks. Some offenders are even closer, permanently residing less than 500 feet away from unwitting parents, educators and children.
Along with several colleagues in Congress, we introduced & passed the KIDS (Keeping the Internet Devoid of Sexual Predators) Act of 2007, a bill to require sex offenders to register their e-mail and instant message addresses with the National Sex Offender Registry. The “Kids Act’ implemented one of my six recommendations to keep a closer eye on sex offenders both near school grounds and online. I also proposed stricter GPS tracking of sex offenders, tougher enforcement of registration laws and more public disclosure of sex offender data.
Sadly, the Internet is the predator's venue of choice today. We need to update our strategies and our laws to stop these offenders who are a mere click away from our children.
