Former Senator takes questions from Concord Christian Academy students; voters.

In front of about 60 people, including students from Concord Christian Academy, former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum was peppered with a number of questions about his presidential campaign on Oct. 10.

For nearly two hours, Santorum spoke about his plans to revitalize manufacturing and grow the economy, his plan to keep taxes low, to repeal “Obamacare,” a pledge of support for Israel, and keep the government out of people’s lives while at the same time, preserving life and defunding Planned Parenthood.

Ron Paul Bests Obama in Latest Poll

In a new Harris Poll, 2012 Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul beats President Obama 51 percent to 49 percent in a general election race.

“This is yet another poll that clearly proves how competitive Ron Paul is against the sitting President,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton. “Dr. Paul is making strides, affirming that the American people are looking for conviction instead of the typical status quo rhetoric being offered by establishment candidates.”

These results come just a few weeks after a Reuters/Ipsos survey showed Ron Paul polling within striking distance of President Obama among registered voters. Furthermore, a late August Rasmussen poll showed him within 1 percent of President Obama in a head-to-head matchup.

Another recent Gallup survey, conducted August 17-18, shows Paul only 2 percentage points behind Obama in a general election match-up. In a similar head-to-head survey from last year done by Rasmussen, Dr. Paul drew a statistical dead heat with the President. And earlier this year in a survey by CNN, he did the best out of the other Republicans put up against Obama in a head-to-head poll.

Alex Jones on the 'True Face of Evil'

We will endorse one of the GOP presidential candidates in the next week, but under no circumstances would we ever cast a vote for Rick Perry.  If America is bound and determined to have evil leadership, we would rather have that evil continue to flow from the opposition party than from a President of our own party.  Wake up America and look at the record, not just the rhetoric.

Rasmussen: Bachmann, Romney and Paul Leading in Iowa

Bachmann is the most popular candidate among potential caucus-goers. Seventy percent (70%) have a favorable opinion of her, including 37% with a Very Favorable opinion. No other candidate in the field earns Very Favorable reviews from more than 20%.
We have thought that once Al Gore's former state chairman, Governor Rick Perry, became better known for his big government, big spending ways, along with his disregard for parental and property rights, the voters would reject him the way they rejected the media-created President Ed Muskie and President Rudy Giuliani.  We never expected that this charlatan would peak before he announced; but these are not ordinary times and Americans are aroused and determined to restore the old republic to its constitutional foundations.  The latest Rasmussen Poll, published yesterday, makes clear that Americans will no longer accept the candidates the mainstream media says they should support.  These results are good news and a sure indicator that Republicans are thinking for themselves.

Iowa Caucus: Bachmann, Romney and Paul on Top

From Rasmussen Reports

In the Iowa caucus race for the Republican presidential nomination, five candidates are in double digits, and many voters are open to changing their mind before caucus day arrives.

The first Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Iowa’s Likely Caucus Participants shows that Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann attracts 22% support, while former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney earn 21%. Just slightly behind is Texas Congressman Ron Paul at 16%, followed by Texas Governor Rick Perry at 12% and former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty at 11%.
