Lindsey Graham, Neocon Knucklehead: Part Whatever


Does Lindsey Graham think you are so stupid you don't know about these laws? Yes, he thinks you are that stupid. I suspect you do not agree.

As you might have deduced from my prior post, I believe South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham is as complete a fraud as anyone who serves in the Senate. On the one hand, he endorses the neoconservative view that says the U.S. should get bogged down in endless wars overseas against potential terrorists. On the other hand, he is part of that contingent of liberal Republicans who have stymied immigration enforcement while insisting on an amnesty for illegal aliens.

To that end, check this screed he co-wrote for the Washington Post with Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, a Democrat. He and Schumer won't use the A-word, instead endorsing "a tough but fair path to legalization for those already here."

They then go on to offset that call for amnesty by pretending to seek tough enforcement. Note this howlingly funny line:

"We propose a zero-tolerance policy for gang members, smugglers, terrorists and those who commit other felonies after coming here illegally."

Zero tolerance for terrorists who enter the country illegally? Are you sure you want to go out on a limb like that, Lindsey? Heck, maybe we can give them amnesty after all. Sorry, I meant "a path to legalization." Actually this sort of thing isn't funny. Neocons like Graham and the dreadful George W. Bush seem to honestly believe it's impossible to keep foreigners, including terrorists, on the other side of the border. Therefore we need to engage in endless wars to straighten out every country on Earth.If we invested just a tiny fraction of that military spending on making sure dubious characters don't sneak into our country, we could be infinitely more secure. But this is how the neocon mind works. And it does not work well. AND NOW THAT I THINK OF IT: Don't we already have on the books laws against the illegal entry into the United States by gang members, smugglers, terrorists, and felons? For that matter, do we not have laws on the books against illegal entry by any person whatsoever? Does Lindsey Graham think you are so stupid you don't know about these laws? Yes, he thinks you are that stupid. I suspect you do not agree.

Aiken GOP Censures Graham


The Aiken County Republican Party has joined other GOP county committees in approving a formal censure of Senator Lindsey Graham.

It is good that he is unwelcome to attend meetings and events organized by Republicans in a state he has betrayed, but If he had any honor he would resign. Since he lacks honor and will not resign, we think
it is time to amend the SC constitution to allow for the recall of rogue federal representatives.


As a private citizen, he should be free to advocate for the nationalization of US banks, amnesty for illegal aliens, the fingerprinting and imposition of ID cards for law abiding Americans, the appointment of Marxist lesbians to the US Supreme Court, and he can call South Carolinians racists all he wants, but he has mocked and disgraced this state far too long as one of its United States Senators.

Lindsey Graham: Portrait Of A Principled Idiot

I really did not want to write a second article in a one month about Senator Lindsey Graham considering he is from South Carolina and I am from Pennsylvania. But I must. He is forcing my hand.

I have got to hand it to the Senator. He certainly is principled. Sitting in his seat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Graham decided to vote in favor of moving the nomination of Elena Kagan, President Obama's latest nominee to the United States Supreme Court

, out of committee. Senator Graham says that elections have consequences and this is why he crossed over and voted with the Democrats. Thus, in his mind, he is saying that because President Obama is sitting in the White House The President should get his nominee.

But while being principled he is also an idiot. He is an idiot because he is ignoring the fact that he was also elected. And he was elected by a constituency that vehemently opposes another left wing radical being placed upon the Supreme Court. His excuse to vote for Kagan is nothing more than the ramblings of an ill mind that is looking for justification to do something he wants to do anyway. Because if he really believed what he said about the consequences of elections he would be telling Obama that his constituents elected him to stand in the way of the further leftward march of America.

But he is not doing this because he does not really believe in his own excuse.

Senator Graham even said that there were, "100 reasons," for him to vote against this nominee. But he tosses those, "100 reasons," out the window because he wants to further Kagan's nomination and get her seated upon the Supreme Court. There is, to be blunt, no other reason for his action. Most people would say if there is one reason for something with 100 reasons against doing that thing that the 100 reasons would outweigh the one and the action in question would not be taken. Not Senator Graham though.

Yes Mr. Graham, elections do have consequences. You, for example, were elected to the United States Senate. The United States Senate is tasked with the role of advice and consent over the President's judicial nominees. That role was given to the Senate to ensure that a President would not appoint unqualified persons to the bench. The scope of who these unqualified persons are ranges widely from a President's own relatives with no judicial experience to someone who is mentally incompetent to a wacko who could not care less about the United States Constitution, upholding limited government and keeping the Congress and the President in check.

The election of Senator Graham to a role in the Senate where he is supposed to act as a check and a balance is apparently not a consequential event if we are to believe the Senator's own words and compare them with his actions. To Senator Graham the only election that matters in this case is the election of President Obama. To me this seems very convenient for the Senator and very inconvenient for America. Does this now mean that Lindsey Graham will support any law in Congress that President Obama supports? After all, elections have consequences right Senator?

Saying you are being principled is one thing. But getting tied up in knots so as to only selectively apply the principles you claim to hold dear makes you a principled idiot. What Mr. Graham is showing is that even a fool can have the courage of his wrongly conceived convictions.

He is the truth. And it is a truth that needs to be impressed upon Senator Graham.

Elena Kagan was nominated by President Obama because he sees her as someone that will help further his goals. President Obama's goals are to strip us further of our liberties, act in an extra constitutional manner and turn America into a land where top down government

control is the norm of our existence. I know, I know, liberals protest at such a blunt portrayal of what they believe in. They will swear that such is not the case. But tell me honestly, has anything that they have done proven that my description is not accurate? No.

Ms. Kagan, once on the bench, will rule, repeatedly and often, to further these desires. And when she does, each and every time she does, there will be people clearly responsible for these rulings. First and foremost will be Ms. Kagan herself. Next on the list will be President Obama. Following him will be all the goofy Democrats in the Senate who would not know the Constitution if it was put in front of them with a big neon flashing sign saying, "Constitution," and who will rubber stamped this nomination. But behind all these sorry souls will be none other than Senator Lindsey Graham. Behind Mr. Graham will be any other Republican that votes to confirm her in the full Senate such as Susan Collins and Dick Lugar who have both voiced support for this horrid candidate for the nation's highest court.

And because of your role in this matter Mr. Graham, you will be just as responsible for the destruction of this country as all the rest who were previously named. But you are too interested in being a principled idiot to care.

Scott Brown Votes "No" on Kagan, Grahamnesty Votes "Yes"


Once again, we must apologize to Massachusetts for once suggesting that Lindsey Graham is the third Senator from that state. Massachusetts has more reliably conservative representation in the United States Senate than Lindsey Graham offers South Carolina.

Yesterday,
the U.S. Senate voted, 63 – 37, to confirm Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court. Among those who did not vote to confirm Kagan, was Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts. Among those voting with the Democrats to confirm Kagan was South Carolina's Lindsey Graham.

In a statement explaining his vote, Brown said:

“When it comes to the Supreme Court, experience matters. No classroom can substitute for the courtroom itself, where decisions are made that affect the day-to-day lives of American citizens, and where one's judicial character and temperament is shaped in favor of the fair and just application of the law.”

As Supreme Court decisions and Elena Kagan's critical votes accrue over what may be decades, remember Scott Brown's principled decision ... and remember South Carolina's rogue Senator who voted to put her there.

BREAKING: GREENVILLE COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY VOTES OVERWHELMINGLY TO REBUKE LINDSEY GRAHAM


The Greenville County Republican Party voted tonight to "rebuke" Senator Lindsey Graham "for his cooperation and support of President Obama and the Democrat Party's liberal agenda for the United States."

The county committee further resolved that he "will no longer be invited to attend or participate in meetings sponsored by the Greenville Republican Party."


The resolution, passed by a near unanimous vote, cites Graham's votes in favor of TARP and its resulting debt and expansion of the federal government; his support for two nominees to the U. S. Supreme Court; his support for amnesty for illegal aliens, and his continuing work for "comprehensive immigration reform.
" The resolution states that Graham has "abandoned the Republican Platform" and its provisions in support of:
  • limited government
  • capitalism
  • the free market system
  • the original intent of the Constitution
The resolution adds that Graham has "repeatedly demonstrated contempt and arrogance toward those members of the Republican Party who support these core Republican beliefs.

The committee has previously censured Graham for supporting amnesty for illegal aliens.

Obama's Boy is a Disgrace and South Carolina's Continuing Shame

Obama and his boy.

Senator Lindsey Graham has found Elena Kagan fit for service on the United States Supreme Court -- a woman who refused to affirm her support for words in the Declaration of Independence:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Expressing what we think about South Carolina's despicable rogue Senator might invite a visit from the FBI.

He was given a second chance by South Carolina voters and in response he has shown the deep contempt he feels for the people of this state -- people he has called bigots and regards as stupid.
There will be no third chance.

We believe that 2014 is too long to wait to recall the traitor, and we have
recommended that the South Carolina Constitution be amended to allow for the recall of federal officials. But whether South Carolina goes that route or not, the people have had enough of Lindsey Graham. We predict he will not be the Republican nominee for the United States Senate in 2014. We will join hundreds of thousands of South Carolinians to ensure that he is not. He is profoundly embarrassing to South Carolina and working against, not for, the people of this state.

Lindsey Graham Insists He "Ain't Gay" and Tea Party Movement "Will Die Out"

In a wide ranging interview with The New York Times, Lindsey Graham insists he "ain't gay" and the Tea Party movement will "die out."

He also admits that if he were running this year, he'd be doing just what his friend, John McCain, is doing -- pretending to be a conservative.

In the fawning profile, South Carolina's rogue Senator discusses the need for a carbon tax, the importance of closing the Guantánamo Bay prison, his close working relationship with the Obama White House, and his support for immigration "reform."

He's also hoping we will forget all of this by 2014, friends. 2014!

The Weakest Link: Kagan Courts Lindsey Graham

Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan once clashed with Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham over the treatment of terrorism detainees.

Now she's looking for his support in her drive to win confirmation as President Barack Obama's choice to replace retiring Justice John Paul Stevens.

Kagan is returning to Capitol Hill on Tuesday to resume courtesy calls with senators, including Graham, a potential GOP ally despite their past differences.

Just How Bad is Senator Lindsey Graham?


The following story reveals that he is pushing higher gas taxes that members of his own party AND the White House oppose.

Since the South Carolina GOP is adding advisory questions to their June primary ballot, how about one on amending the SC Constitution to allow for the recall of federal representatives,
as we proposed here?

Let's deal with the rogue Senator now. Too many issues are at stake for one South Carolina Senator to be canceling out the votes of the other. We need two United States Senators in Washington.

WH Opposes Higher Gas Taxes Floated by S.C. GOP Sen. Graham in Emerging Senate Energy Bill

Sen. Graham's spokesman, Kevin Bishop, passed along a set of talking points about the South Carolina Republican's still-developing tax on gasoline, a so-called "linked fee" that would establish a separate tax on a gallon of gas and adjust that tax over time in relation to lower industrial and utility pollution. In theory, as emissions fall, so would the magnitude of the tax on gasoline.

Graham is adamant his energy fee is not a straight gasoline tax, even though critics say by whatever name it will raise the price at the pump and, consequently, harm recession-battered consumers.


The Senate GOP leadership today took pains to say this tax idea is Graham's and Graham's alone. It's not the first time Graham has been out on a policy limb. Graham insists his approach is better than one-size-fits-all federal regulations (The Environmental Protection Agency now has the legal authority to impose regulations reducing green house gas emissions. The agency recently announced it would delay any new for one year to give Congress time to hammer out its own climate change legislation). President Obama has said he prefers congressional action to federal regulation.

Lindsey Graham's Advocacy of National ID and Fingerprinting Must Be Last Straw



According to an article in the Wall Street Journal, Lindsey Graham, working with Senator Charles Schumer to craft yet another immigration bill, wants you and every worker in America to be fingerprinted before you may hold a job. The fingerprints, along with other biometric information, would be embedded in a mandatory ID card.

In other words, because federal officials have failed to address the nation's criminal immigration problem, you and all Americans will be treated like criminals.


In this regard, may we suggest an important project to the South Carolina Tea Party Movement?

Fewer than twenty states currently allow for the recall of federal officials. Unfortunately, South Carolina is not one of them. We strongly recommend that South Carolina not wait until 2014 to term limit its rogue United States Senator. South Carolina needs and deserves faithful representation now.

Let's amend the South Carolina Constitution as soon as possible and send Lindsey home to Seneca.
So urgent is the need for South Carolina to have two United States Senators representing its interests, we are providing a draft amendment to the state constitution:
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of South Carolina the right to recall any Federally elected officeholder elected by the people of the state of South Carolina. A recall election is required within 45 days of verification of signatures equaling 10% of the votes cast in the last election of the office being recalled. Citizens seeking the recalled office will have 15 days from the time the recall initiative if verified to place their name on the ballot for election.

At the time of the recall vote, voters will vote to recall as well as vote for a new office holder if the recall initiative is successful. A run-off election if necessary will consist of those receiving the three highest number of votes with the winner being elected to fill the remainder of the term recalled.

If the recall is successful, the person recalled is immediately stripped of all the authority to represent the people of the state of South Carolina and must vacate federal office space within 24 hours.

Move Over Gore, Make Way for Lindsey Graham


The following post from Stop the ACLU, makes clear that the lunatic left has found a new hero. You must be proud, South Carolina, it's our very own Lindsey Graham.

The Guardian, official mouthpiece of Britain’s pointy-headed establishment Left, can’t help but admit that the Nobel Prize-bedecked Al Gore is a figure of fun. Referring to the Goracle’s recent desperate rant in the friendly New York Times, Guardian contributor Dan Kennedy (a Boston journalism professor) laments that Prince Albert

has not only spent his political capital, but is running a deficit. Mocked by the right every time he pops up, he is no longer in a position to convince anyone who isn’t already convinced — especially when he writes for our most liberal daily newspaper.

It started, of course, with the vicious lies told about Gore during the 2000 presidential campaign, the most notorious of which was that he claimed to have “invented the internet” … the smear campaign that almost certainly cost Gore the presidency.

You don’t get much more vicious than poking fun at a blowhard politician for indulging in excessive self-promotion. It’s almost as mean as saying that skunks stink.

The hate stirred up by that effort has long since congealed into conventional wisdom. Now, whenever Gore speaks out on climate change, he is subjected to withering, fact-free scorn. It has its effect on those trying to figure out the truth. Go ahead. Feel the hate:

“Do you think of your breathing passages as spewing sh*t?” sneered Ann Althouse, referring to Gore’s use of an “open sewer” metaphor.

Another rightwing blogger, Van Helsing, wrote that Gore had emerged “to demand totalitarian restrictions on economic activity in the name of a crisis that clearly does not exist”.

And Andrew Breitbart’s notorious Big Journalism site ran a commentary by Kyle-Anne Shiver, who said of Gore, “His life as a jet-setting, Nobel Peace Prize-sharing, Oscar-brandishing celebrity is on the line. Without the people’s diehard faith in his religion of global warming, Al will be forced to trade his lifestyle of the mega-rich-and-famous for an ignominious and expensive defense of never-ending lawsuits brought by enraged sucker governments and private investors.”

Not to worry, moonbats. Another hero has arisen to take up the burden of rescuing the polar bears from our freedom and prosperity:

But if Gore’s effectiveness as a climate-change activist has expired, there is nevertheless reason to hope. Because there, in the same edition of the Sunday Times, just a few inches away, was columnist Tom Friedman’s interview with the ghost of climate change present, South Carolina senator Lindsey Graham—living proof that it is possible for a conservative Republican not only to be sane, but to work toward real solutions to actual problems.

Grahamnesty is praised for wanting to shut down Club Gitmo (which would be a big propaganda coup for Muslim terrorists and their liberal enablers), for backing racist radical Sonia Sotomayor for the Supreme Court, and most of all, for conspiring with the disgraceful Hanoi John Kerry to drive millions of jobs overseas in the name of the global warming hoax with Tax & Charade. They might also have mentioned his support for shamnesty, his denunciation of those who want our border defended as “bigots” who need to “shut up,” his alliance with sinister hard left financier George Soros, the delight he took in Dems taking over the Senate, and his support for leaping toward communism by nationalizing banks.

With uncharacteristic understatement, the Guardian admits that Goober is “well to the left of many South Carolina Republicans.” Fortunately, Tea Partiers are on to Graham; as is the Republican Party of Charleston. Less fortunately, there’s nothing voters can do about him until 2014. Maybe he’ll pull a Specter by then.

The Seduction of Lindsey Graham

According to most conservatives in South Carolina, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has officially gone over to the dark side. Under the guise of 'bipartisanship,' Graham has signed on to one of the left's most ambitious plans to impose a socialist agenda in America - government control of the formerly free market through implementation of cap-and trade, the 1,400 plus page Waxman-Markey bill approved earlier this year by the House.

The main (scientifically unproven) premise of cap and trade is that the earth is melting and government must step in to save the world. Of course, it will be expensive, but hey, this is Mother Earth we're talking about. And its urgent and essential that the government immediately establish a $700 billion "market" for business to buy and sell "steadily declining number of permits for creating carbon emissions."

In a New York Times Op-Ed Graham co-authored with Sen. John Kerry cutely entitled 'Yes We Can' (get it?) Sen Graham states "..we agree that climate change is real and threatens our economy and national security." Huh?

Conservatives disagree. Conservatives, real conservatives, believe the fact based studies based on science that stand in direct opposition to the dire reports issued by bureaucrats at the United Nations and embraced as fact by the left.

Conservative think tank, Heritage Foundation, outlines the additional costs that will be imposed on every American families if cap and trade is enacted. Residential electricity costs will zoom up by 90%, nearly 1.9 million jobs will be lost by 2012 overall, and the economy will lose nearly $10 trillion in gross domestic product by 2035. Just what the economy needs, right?

Lindsey Graham was elected to serve as United States Senator in 2002. He was easily re-elected in 2008, largely due to the support of conservatives. Conservatives like founder and past president of the low country's South Strand Republicans, John Bonsignor. John and his wife campaigned hard for Graham, based on their belief that Graham would govern as a conservative. Meaning, lower taxes and less government.

"Graham is disappointing," states Bonsignor, "He campaigned as a conservative but his record is moderate left." When asked if he would vote for Graham now, Bonsignor stated emphatically, "No," citing Lindsey's support for Sotomayor, his support for TARP funds, and the final straw, his support for cap and trade.

Sen. Graham's own website states, "Graham is known as a leader who never abandons his independence or strays from the conservative reform agenda." This is no longer true.

Graham has been seduced by the left. He has adopted one of their most successful tactics, promising one thing while delivering the quite the opposite. Though it's impossible to know what is in another man's heart, actions always speak louder than words. And Graham's actions clearly show that he has signed on to the leftist agenda. Possibly hoping to earn the coveted 'maverick' label and media kudos formerly enjoyed by his good buddy John McCain. But he is doing his own party no good.

Graham has come to exemplify the growing disconnect between conservatives and the Republican Party. He believes he knows best, and if the people that elected him disagree, he tells them to just "chill out," as he did at a recent townhall meeting in Greenville. The same townhall meeting where one of his constituents called him a traitor.

That townhall received little media attention. What did receive national media coverage was Graham's recent interview where he attacked Glenn Beck, the left's favorite target. "Glenn Beck does not represent the thinking of the Republican Party," Graham stated. How he knows this is a mystery, as he went on to say he never watches the Glenn Beck Show. Go figure.

Graham may be right about one thing: Glenn Beck clearly represents the thinking of conservatives, not the GOP. And Sen. Lindsey Graham is now willingly spouting the talking points of the left and abandoning the conservative principles that got him elected. He has been seduced by the left and his reward is ever more national face time and political influence.

Enjoy the ride, Lindsey. More and more South Carolinians, this author included, are comparing you with our real conservative Senator, Jim DeMint, and you're coming up way short. Keep in mind that we have long memories while the fawning media currently singing your praises have short ones. Your love affair with the left, whether it be seduction or statutory rape, betrays the conservative principles that you claimed to hold. And we don't like it one bit.

Lindsey Graham Pledges to Work with Dems on Immigration "Reform"

nfortunately, only 18 states allow for the recall of a United States Senator, and South Carolina isn't one of them.
The National Council of La Raza's poster boy is preparing to defy his constituents again by seeking to grant millions of illegal intruders United States citizenship. He doesn't have the courage of some of his colleagues to turn up at community meetings and Tea Parties to explain his liberal ways, but let's hope South Carolinians find a way to put this quisling on notice.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is working behind the scenes to help Democrats craft a new version of former President Bush's immigration reform bill. Graham also supported the Bush/Kennedy/McCain bill back in 2007. As

Wes Hickman, a spokesman for Mr. Graham, said in a statement that "Senator Graham is ready and willing to play a key role in immigration reform. He intends to work with many of his colleagues on both sides of the aisle."



The new bill will most likely be introduced in September by Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), and Graham has been working with his colleague in search of other Republican votes. President Obama had pledged to tackle immigration reform in his first year of office, but on Friday he issued a statement saying he hoped Congress would pass legislation early in 2010.

Graham Only Judiciary Committee Republican to Support Sotomayor



The Senate Judiciary Committee has reported the nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to the full Senate, with every Republican member of the committee -- but one -- voting against the racist, unqualified nominee. The South Carolina Senator voted with Al Franken, Diane Feinstein, Chuck Schumer, Patrick Leahy and other liberals to report the nomination favorably.

Lindsey Graham "Celebrates" Sotomayor Appointment



According to The Greenville News, Lindsay Graham will not only vote to confirm Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor, he states, “I think it's appropriate to celebrate that the court has changed. This is an historic pick.”

The paper also reports that South Carolina may see a more conservative Lindsey Graham leading up to his next election. Dr. David Woodard, Clemson University political science professor, told the paper Grahamnesty can "do what he wants the next two years. The two years after that, he'll have to be a little more conservative. Then the two years heading into the next election, he'll be very conservative.”

What a relief to know that South Carolinians will only endure two more years of being labeled "bigots" by the United States Senator who has made his mark in Washington by betraying them. Let's hope that by 2014, the people will finally put an end to his games and elect a United States Senator who will stand with Senator DeMint
in proudly representing them.

Do you know what your supposedly "Republican" senator is doing right now?

Well, it turns out that Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina is also leading the "hit parade" on behalf of legislation which would expand the scope of government in a way unprecedented in human history -- and which would place your most private medical data into an anti-gun database.

Hard to believe?

But there he is: Sen. Graham is right up there with certifiable liberals like left wing Oregon Democrat Ron Wyden and left wing Michigan Democrat Debbie Stabenow.

The bill is S. 391, and it is being pushed by some Republicans as an alternative to the Health Care Gun Ban that we've been warning you about.

S. 391 does a hodgepodge of things, but by far the most important one is to "solve" the problem of 48 million uninsured by taking away the right of Americans not to purchase government-approved insurance.

If you are uninsured, you would have to buy health insurance, whether you can afford it or not. If your employer is not unionized, he would have to retool your employer-provided health insurance policy to comply with government requirements.

If your employer cannot afford government-approved insurance with all of the politically correct bells and whistles, too bad. His only legal alternative is to fire you.

If you cannot afford government-approved insurance, too bad.

If you have to lose your home -- or your small business -- or your kids' college fund -- in order to pay for government-approved insurance, too bad.

And like the Massachusetts system on which it is modeled, the federally mandated insurance would inexorably revolve around a federal database of medical information that you could not opt out of.

So, remember when your kid's pediatrician asked him about your gun collection? Or when you grandfather was diagnosed with a mental disability which could disqualify him from owning a gun?

All of that will be in the federal database, which could be searched by virtually anyone in the Department of Health and Human Services -- and by BATF, by simple request.

And, although section 103 of S. 391 purports to allow you to keep the coverage you have, all employer-provided insurance which you wish to keep has to be rewritten to contain all the government-required mandates -- or you're not allowed to keep it.
