Edinburgh Military Tattoo

Quite simply magnificent. Brilliant.

The Tattoo. itself, is worth the trip to Edinburgh and is breathtaking to behold in person.

When one considers the enormous contribution of the Scots throughout the world since the Act of Union, it would be no exaggeration to give top credit for a people who so influenced the development of the 'British' world and it's progeny. It is perhaps ironic that, whilst Sean Connery moans for the socialist independent movement in Scotland from his home in Bermuda, the English, through their industrial and economic ambitions, and in spite of their cruelty toward the Scottish people (and the Irish too) provided the Scots with a platform that otherwise might have hidden their culture in the North Sea.

Their soldiers are renowned and the now-unified 'Royal Regiment of Scotland' in the British Army as well as those in Canada and Australia continues with their very high standards and tradition.

Thank you for putting this up.
What a pleasure it is to one's eyes and ears (for those of us who don't consider the pipes as 'agony bags'!
