Lindsey Graham's Advocacy of National ID and Fingerprinting Must Be Last Straw



According to an article in the Wall Street Journal, Lindsey Graham, working with Senator Charles Schumer to craft yet another immigration bill, wants you and every worker in America to be fingerprinted before you may hold a job. The fingerprints, along with other biometric information, would be embedded in a mandatory ID card.

In other words, because federal officials have failed to address the nation's criminal immigration problem, you and all Americans will be treated like criminals.


In this regard, may we suggest an important project to the South Carolina Tea Party Movement?

Fewer than twenty states currently allow for the recall of federal officials. Unfortunately, South Carolina is not one of them. We strongly recommend that South Carolina not wait until 2014 to term limit its rogue United States Senator. South Carolina needs and deserves faithful representation now.

Let's amend the South Carolina Constitution as soon as possible and send Lindsey home to Seneca.
So urgent is the need for South Carolina to have two United States Senators representing its interests, we are providing a draft amendment to the state constitution:
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of South Carolina the right to recall any Federally elected officeholder elected by the people of the state of South Carolina. A recall election is required within 45 days of verification of signatures equaling 10% of the votes cast in the last election of the office being recalled. Citizens seeking the recalled office will have 15 days from the time the recall initiative if verified to place their name on the ballot for election.

At the time of the recall vote, voters will vote to recall as well as vote for a new office holder if the recall initiative is successful. A run-off election if necessary will consist of those receiving the three highest number of votes with the winner being elected to fill the remainder of the term recalled.

If the recall is successful, the person recalled is immediately stripped of all the authority to represent the people of the state of South Carolina and must vacate federal office space within 24 hours.

Lindsey Graham Tells New York Times He Has 'Crossed the Rubicon,' Wants Increased Federal Taxes

John Kerry knows a useful idiot when he sees one.
The Worst Republican Senator, South Carolina's own Lindsey Graham, has told U.S. News & World Report that he is "OK" with increased federal taxes as long as they are used for the ever more voracious military-industrial complex.  According to the news magazine, Lindsey told "the New York Times he has 'crossed the Rubicon' on his party's long-held opposition to higher federal taxes."

He so loves to endear himself to the folks at the New York Times.

As we have said before, words cannot convey the contempt we have for this treacherous individual who refuses to represent the people who elected him, and who seizes every opportunity to collaborate with those standing against all that most South Carolinians believe. 

His betrayal is so massive, perhaps South Carolinians have trouble grasping its enormity, or perhaps we just need to be reminded:
 In 2014 South Carolinians will have the opportunity to replace this treacherous snake.  It's not too soon to begin working toward that goal.

Now the People Will Speak

Senator Lindsey "Hissy Fit" Graham has made it quite clear that he believes he knows better than the vast majority of South Carolinians. He defied the people of our state again and again to not only support policies most people in South Carolina find appalling, he has been the chief sponsor and cosponsor of legislation overwhelmingly repudiated by most Americans.
  • He brokered a deal to protect the right of Democrats to filibuster judicial nominations.
  • His concern for the "rights" of terrorists has caused him to block an up-or-down vote on Fourth Circuit nominee Jim Haynes.
  • "Graham uncovered classified memos in 2005 dealing with the use of extreme measures to get information from detainees at Gitmo. Graham made sure those memos were declassified and caused the entire controversy regarding supposed torture, a charge that Democrats have exploited to this day, despite all evidence to the contrary. Now we are faced with Terrorist detainees being transported to the US and having full access to US courts and law. Does anyone believe this will make America safer?"
  • Graham has worked to grant Islamic terrorists full Geneva Convention protection, even though such individuals are exempt from such protections.
  • Graham has supported amnesty and a "path to citizenship" for millions of foreign nationals who have illegally broken into our country, many of them with criminal records.
Graham has pledged that he will tell "the loud people" and "bigots" that oppose such policies to "shut up." But next year the voters of South Carolina will have a chance to respond to the liberal quisling intent on currying favor with Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton and John McCain. The 2008 Senate race will also be an opportunity to give South Carolina's superb, conservative U. S. Senator, Jim DeMint, a partner he can work with in the interest of the hard working taxpayers of South Carolina.

Next week Republican National Committeeman, Dr. Buddy Witherspoon, will announce his candidacy to ensure that Senator Hissy Fit is a one-term Senator.
Dr. Witherspoon will launch his campaign with a whirlwind tour of South Carolina this coming Tuesday and Wednesday. Unlike Graham, Buddy Witherspoon will support border security and will not offer any "path to citizenship" to aliens who are here illegally.

Send Goober Grahamnesty Packing

It becomes clearer by the day that John McCain did his candidacy a great favor by "crossing the aisle" to the conservatives of his party and selecting a running mate with whom the base is not only comfortable, but enthusiastically embraces.

Consider what the outcome might have been had he heeded the advice of South Carolina's Lindsey Graham and chosen the pro-abortion liberal, Senator Joe Lieberman. Graham, never one to concern himself with the views of those fool enough to vote for him, wanted McCain to shake up the political landscape by choosing a man who has earned an "F" from the National Rifle Association and "zeroes" from the National Right to Life Committee, the Christian Coalition and the American Conservative Union.
Take away Lieberman's hawkish votes on Iraq and any legislation benefiting Israel, and Al Gore's running mate is more liberal than half of his Democrat colleagues and all Republicans. He earns from the ADA a score of 80, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) award him an 86, and the American Civil Liberties Union an 83.

South Carolina's Republican Senator would turn his back on the Republican Party, as he has turned his back on his own electorate, to support a liberal, pro-choice, anti-Second Amendment, Democrat for the VP nominee of the Republican Party.
Such a decision would likely have resulted in a floor fight and a walk-out on the part of many conservative Republicans. It would have left the base dispirited and in quest of third party candidates, and millions of Republicans would have stayed home on election day.

After outspending his Republican Primary opponent by 9 to 1, one-third of South Carolina Republicans voted against their incumbent Senator. On primary night Graham was not chastened; he rather took the victory as encouragement for even more defiance of South Carolina views and values. This is a man we need to unload now before he does even more damage and becomes more entrenched.


Fortunately, Senator McCain ignored the advice of his "Mini Me" and chose a running mate that inspires Republicans and independents. But South Carolina should think long and hard before renewing Graham's contract. We can hope that McCain might relieve the state of this embarrassment and give Grahamnesty a federal appointment; but we "bigots" who actually believe that US sovereignty, borders and laws should be respected, should not pass up the opportunity to send a message to all RINO's.


We have in Bob Conley someone who will defend the US border, support US-first trade policies and end the outsourcing of US industry and jobs. Conley supports the Fair Tax, will restore sound, honest money, and halt the fall of the dollar. Conley will oppose predatory lending practices, end the Wall Street bailouts, and put a lid on massive expenditures at home and abroad. Most importantly, he is committed to the strict interpretation of the Constitution - the rights of states and individuals, and will work to restore the federal government to its proper role and size.


Goober Grahmnesty, if in nothing else, has been straight about where he stands. It is time South Carolina sent him packing.

Tim Scott to Fill DeMint Senate Seat


The appointment of Representative Tim Scott to fill Senator Jim DeMint's Senate seat is the best possible appointment for many reasons.  While Scott does not have the most conservative voting record among our South Carolina Congressional delegation, he is a solid conservative whose vote will cancel out rogue Senator Lindsey Graham.  He is also less likely than others on the "short list" to draw a primary opponent in 2014, forcing the strongest Senator-wannabe's to consider a primary challenge to Lindsey Graham.  And best of all, Haley didn't appoint herself.

Congratulations, Congressman Scott, we wish you great success and hope you will continue to "fight the good fight" so ably and nobly fought by Senator DeMint.

Lindsey Graham Is An Unhinged Kook Who Shouldn’t Be Taken Seriously


Yesterday Lindsey Graham expressed his interest in yes, for real, becoming a presidential candidate for 2016. Spend any amount of time around the good senator and you’ll hear more extreme sentiments expressed publicly than from any other candidate for the Republican nomination.

He holds an expansive view of the unrestricted powers of the executive branch; a steadfast belief in protecting the administrative state; and he has expressed doubts about much of the Bill of Rights. He does not believe bloggers deserve first amendment protections. He does not believe Americans suspected of terrorist acts deserve to be read their rights. And he, like Hillary Clinton, believes the Citizens United decision was a monstrosity that ought to be overturned – he has called for a Constitutional amendment to do so.

Columbia Conservative: "Pro-Life VP or Bust"

and bridge the distance he has created over the years from social and religious conservatives.

Unfortunately his close friend, Senator Lindsey Graham, has raised the possibility of a pro-abortion running mate. I posted the
response of many Michigan Republicans to that idea a few days ago.

In this regard, my friend Joshua Gross has an excellent post at
The Columbia Conservative about the possibility of a convention fight if McCain is foolish enough to defy pro-life Republicans.

I happen to think that with a zealous, national organization in place, Mick Huckabee would bring more to the ticket than any other candidate, but certainly most of the names that Josh Gross mentions would make for a strong Republican ticket.

Ex-Graham Aide Fined for Theft

A former political aide to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) will pay a civil penalty after embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars from Graham's Senate campaign, the Federal Election Commission announced Monday.

Mary Jennifer Adams, who was arrested in December 2007 for embezzling $280,000 from Graham's re-election campaign, will pay $2,500 to the FEC. She has also agreed not to work on a federal campaign in any capacity related to the campaign's finances.

Obama's Boy is a Disgrace and South Carolina's Continuing Shame

Senator Lindsey Graham has found Elena Kagan fit for service on the United States Supreme Court -- a woman who refused to affirm her support for words in the Declaration of Independence:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Expressing what we think about South Carolina's despicable rogue Senator might invite a visit from the FBI.

He was given a second chance by South Carolina voters and in response he has shown the deep contempt he feels for the people of this state -- people he has called bigots and regards as stupid.
There will be no third chance.

We believe that 2014 is too long to wait to recall the traitor, and we have
recommended that the South Carolina Constitution be amended to allow for the recall of federal officials. But whether South Carolina goes that route or not, the people have had enough of Lindsey Graham. We predict he will not be the Republican nominee for the United States Senate in 2014. We will join hundreds of thousands of South Carolinians to ensure that he is not. He is profoundly embarrassing to South Carolina and working against, not for, the people of this state.

Lee Bright's Political Heroes? Vladimir Putin and Bashar Al-Assad of Syria

We wrote previously that the failed upstate businessman, Lee Bright, whose personal finances are in crisis and has debt totaling between $1.1 million and $3.1 million owed to 29 creditors, appears willing to say or do anything to secure a job offering a six year contract, a salary of $174,000, an outside earned income allowance of more than $27,000, a large taxpayer-paid staff, paid travel, housing deductions, health, dental and life insurance, a private gym and the world's best pension fund.

The desperate Bright has now demonstrated our point and raised a red flag for all those who want Lindsey Graham replaced with a solid, thoughtful and respected conservative.  On April 6, (not so) Bright told the Washington Watch television audience that Republicans should look to Vladimir Putin and Bashar al-Assad, two thuggish war criminals, as models.  In Bright's own words:
If [Speaker] Boehner had the courage that Putin and Assad had, we'd be living in a different America, but we don't have the leadership and we've got to continue to try to get folks to Washington that are going to take the fight to the liberal agenda.
One thing I didn't mention earlier, you were talking about things going around the state, we've got the homosexual agenda on the full march in our institutions of higher ed and we've gone from education to indoctrination, so we are in a fight — they have seized the educational establishment and we've got to take that back and we've got to get folks involved in that or otherwise that's our next generation.
If the likes of Putin and Assad were running America, it would, indeed, be a different country, but it would not be anything like the America our Founders established.  And much as we agree with Bright's criticism of "the homosexual agenda on the full march in our institutions of higher ed," someone who has actually spent some time at an institution of higher education might have some awareness of authentic conservative models.  He might have cited the kind of models who actually believed in freedom, human dignity and God-given rights -- thoughtful men like Edmund Burke, Adam Smith, Thomas Jefferson and Russell Kirk, not murderous thugs.

Lee Bright's comments point up just how important an American political campaign can be in distinguishing the charlatans from potential statesmen.  After the traitorous career of Lindsey Graham, South Carolina does not need a Senator who would quickly become a national joke.

Lindsey Graham Insists He "Ain't Gay" and Tea Party Movement "Will Die Out"

In a wide ranging interview with The New York Times, Lindsey Graham insists he "ain't gay" and the Tea Party movement will "die out."

He also admits that if he were running this year, he'd be doing just what his friend, John McCain, is doing -- pretending to be a conservative.

In the fawning profile, South Carolina's rogue Senator discusses the need for a carbon tax, the importance of closing the Guantánamo Bay prison, his close working relationship with the Obama White House, and his support for immigration "reform."

He's also hoping we will forget all of this by 2014, friends. 2014!

Who Speaks Now for the GOP?

Last Wednesday, Sen. Rand Paul rose on the Senate floor to declare a filibuster and pledge he would not sit down until either he could speak no longer or got an answer to his question about Barack Obama’s war powers.

Does the president, Paul demanded to know, in the absence of an imminent threat, have the right to order U.S. citizens killed by drone strike on U.S. soil?

By the time he sat down, 13 hours later, Paul had advanced to the front rank of candidates for 2016, and established himself as a foreign policy leader whose views must be consulted equally with those of John McCain.

How did he pull this off?

Governor Sanford Repudiates Graham Attack on Libertarianism


By now, thousands of people have seen Senator Lindsey Graham being jeered by the South Carolina Republican State Convention for denouncing libertarianism and its champion, Ron Paul. What is less known is that Governor Mark Sanford repudiated those comments and defended liberty within moments of Senator Graham's most recent hissy fit:
